Mighty oaks from acorns grow
Hello and welcome to our junior's page!
Here you will find useful information about the day to day running of our class, including timetables, homework, and information about topics or any activities of note for this term.
We pride ourselves on our Growth Mindsets, and are always willing to give our best to any challenge. We understand that mistakes are an important part of learning and welcome feedback that helps us to grow! We hope that you can support us in our learning this term.
P.E
P.E will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
On these days, learners can wear their P.E kit to school. Please ensure sensible footwear is worn, e.g. trainers, and that clothing is appropriate for physical movement.
We aim to get outside as much as possible, so please consider bringing a hat if we are lucky enough for some hot weather, and a light jacket for chillier days!
We are currently working with the Scarlets Rugby Hub Officers who are providing KS2 with rugby sessions every other Tuesday. So kit will need to be worn on these days, also.
Homework
The pupils will be provided with a range of homework activities to complete during each half term, covering the 6 Areas of Learning (Language, Literacy and Communication, Maths and Numeracy, Science & Technology, Expressive Arts, Health and Wellbeing, Humanities). The pupils can choose which task to complete each week, with the aim of completing every task by the end of each half term. In addition, the pupils will receive weekly spelling words to practice at home, with a weekly spelling quiz every Friday. I would also encourage you to listen to your child(ren) reading as often as possible. The more often the children read at home, the more often they can change their book and progress through the levels!
Class Dojo
I will be posting updates, reminders, and photos to Class Dojo, so please ensure notifications are turned on so that you don’t miss out on any important information. Please feel free to message me at any time, however, please note that I will not receive any messages outside of normal school hours so if you need an urgent reply, please contact the school directly.
Diolch am eich cefnogaeth,
